AI made PMs faster. Multiplayer mode is still broken.

A PM can summarize research, draft a PRD, and mock up a prototype before lunch. The hard part starts when the team has to decide what actually gets built.
Jira Product Discovery gives product teams one place to capture insights, prioritize ideas with consistent frameworks, and build living roadmaps stakeholders can rally around.
And because it’s connected to Jira, the context behind every decision stays with the work—so developers and their agents know not just what to build, but why.
AI helps PMs move faster. Jira Product Discovery helps the whole team build with confidence.
Africa’s daily intelligence on business, policy and power—what changed, what it means and what to watch next.

France rejects Niger coup plot accusations as Sahel tensions escalate
France has firmly rejected allegations from Nigerien military officials accusing Paris of supporting a failed military mutiny in Niamey, with French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot calling the claims unfounded. The diplomatic clash follows an attempted uprising on August 29 targeting Air Base 101, which was suppressed by Nigerien forces backed by Russia's Africa Corps. As anti-French sentiment intensifies across the Alliance of Sahel States, Western powers face diminishing influence in Central West Africa.
THE AFRICA ANGLE: Multinational companies operating across West Africa must separate geopolitical rhetoric from supply corridor security, relying on regional risk insurance to hedge against political shifts.
